What does an experiential artist paint? I'm literally finding inspiration in so many daily experiences. After 23 years as a financial analyst and then software technical writer, I became disabled with fibromyalgia. During art therapy in 2005, I discovered that some brief painting sessions can sometimes temporarily distract me from pain and other symptoms. I also find that with painting, I can create whatever message I wish to convey--that is, I needn't wait for an event to photograph. Additionally with painting, I don't have to crop undesired items from the composition as I sometimes must for a more aesthetic photo.
Some painting examples: As mentioned in my profile in the Argus-Courier newspaper, I strive to leave a wake of positivism wherever I go. Check out my paintings to see if they do so for you!
You’ll see that I sign my art with the name W.Azure. The nickname of Azure found me when I relocated to Petaluma over two years ago. To this day, I am still awestruck by the beautiful azure blue skies and contemplate: Life is good.
